my running watchMar 08, 2010 This is the best running/workout watch I've used. (I used a Nike Triax one previously.) I have used it to train for a half marathon and use it on all of my runs. It's quite easy to figure out how to use it. I don't really use the FLIX capabilities. The buttons are easy to press. The face is very readable while running because of the large face. The indiglo works great when you are running at night. The synthetic rubber band material is sturdy without feeling too stiff. The memory holds your previous workouts including the date which is a nice bonus if you need to transfer the info to on an online log and you don't have a chance to do it right away.
Simply the BEST!!Mar 04, 2010 The Timex Ironman 100 lap FLIX is simply the best. I've tried others and they just don't match up. This watch has so many features that I use on a daily basis. First, the digital display is large enough for my old eyes to read it w/o glasses. The 100 lap chronograph feature is great for me as a track coach because, in addition to logging my own runs, I can store splits from my kids workouts. The timer is great for a variety of activities. The 5 alarms are great!! This is the best watch of it's type out there!!
Issues with Timex Ironman 100 Lap Flix (T5E231Feb 17, 2010 I've owned a number of the Timex Ironman watches over the last 20 years & found them all to be a very good quality product for the money. However the last two that I've purchased (both the model identified in the header) have had serious quality issues. With both watches the buttons stick & do not allow you to change the mode or access any of the features. I have found that by holding down all 5 buttons you can reset the watch & allow it to function again but this becomes problematic having to reset the time, date, etc. a couple of times a week. I believe this generally happens when either wearing long sleeves or having something depress one of the buttons continually. I bought the latest watch from Amazon in mid December thinking the last watch (lasted approximately 1 year with 2 returns to Timex) was a fluke & that a new one would resolve the issue. After having to reset the watch on average twice a week I sent it back to Timex in mid January & received a watch (I don't know if it was a new watch or the same watch) back about 10 days later. Within 4 days the same problem happened & I have returned it again hoping to get some a recommendation, advice, or acknowledgment from Timex. I like the functionality but the quality is not acceptable.
Lasted 2 monthsFeb 10, 2010 I love the look of this watch, however, mine lasted two months and then I couldn't change the mode - it is currently stuck in CHRONO mode and I can't switch it back to TIME (or any other mode). CHRONO mode isn't even working - the watch is "frozen".
Amazon is taking it back and I am ordering a new one - hope it lasts longer than two months!? If not, it will be my last TIMEX.

VERY LARGEFeb 08, 2010 A nice looking watch. However, it is very large. In order to pull of the look of this watch, you really need to be a big person.
