 Expedition E-Tide & TempApr 24, 2008
This watch is every bit as good as all the adverts tell us it is. I have never seen it displayed in the stores and the picture does it full justice. I am enjoying wearing it as it is extreemly functional because I am totally reliant on the movement of the tides for my favourite hobby which is fishing in a purely tidal environment.
I have no regrets about my purchase which AMAZON.COM made so efficiently and without any fuss.
 If it won't keep time, the bells and whistles don't matter.Jan 16, 2008
This was a gift for my son, a Charter Fishing Captain. Unfortunately, despite all the nice bells and whistles on this watch, it does not keep time. It loses at least 15 minutes to 1-1/2 hrs a day. I am returning the watch.

All i can say about this watch is it looks really nice when wearing it and i get lots of compliments on it. The back lit feature on this watch is awesome also that it lights up the full round face display, which looks real neat at night. It tells time great so thats not an issue, but I do have an issue on e-tide and temperature readings. First the e-tide is really off, so its basically just to see the neat dials move and not much else, and the temperature reading is ridiculous because its supposed to sense the ambient temperature of where ever you are, but if your wearing the watch on your wrist it basically senses your body temp and it wont be able to truely give you what the surrounding temperature is. Even if you remove your watch and try to get a reading on it , its not even close to accurate either. Regardless it was a good idea and concept if it truely worked but it dont. Regardless i bought the watch and im keeping it cause it looks good and i bought it for $125 and its being sold here for much less now. If you are just looking for a nice looking watch, buy this..........if your buying this for the functions don't bother.

The tide function works well, It is clear and usefull. The watch time keeping is not very good. The watch loses time at odd moments. As much as 20 minutes to an hour and a half in an evening, not every day but some of the time. All in all not a good value.

This was the perfect V-day gift for the fisherman/sportsman who "needs" everything!! He is constantly looking at it and checking dials, etc. It also keeps him busy/occupied while I get to shop longer. . .
