would not purchase againFeb 05, 2010 never had trouble with timex, til now. digital read out is hard to read with hands and label located at 9 on the face of the watch. then 6 months into owning the screen has gone blank.
Great WatchSep 07, 2009 Love the watch...says it's 50 lap...but actually does 100 laps. And if you surpass 100 laps, it just starts counting from zero and keeps the previous time. The face scratches real easily. Was leery based on other reviews about the wrist strap...but thought it was worth the gamble due to how reasonably priced it was. So far, so good...and if it only lasts a year...so be it. Love it for now. I use it mainly for swimming. Works great in the pool.

poor watch band reviewsSep 01, 2009 Looks great. Was scared away by accounts of the band only lasting a year or so. Would have been my first choice.
Very good waterproof sports watchMay 27, 2009 Excellent watch/Features. One piece band/watch construction does not allow for changing or replacing of band. Just be aware of not placing undue stress on band and you should 1-2 years of service without replacing battery. Good value for price.

Good watch, lousy bandMar 17, 2009 I really enjoyed this watch for about 18 months. It was at that point I began to notice cracks in the band. I was able to glue a couple of them until i just gave up. The band was disintegrating on my arm. I did wear it every day, but it saw little or no abuse as I sit behind a desk. Also the crystal is prone to scratching.
EDIT: I just called Timex. They will repair/replace for $10. They also suggested that WalMart may have prepaid Timex shipping envelopes in the Watch department. Swing by to pick one up and shipping there and back is on them. With this I would bump to 4 stars if I could have and if the crystal was better I'd give it 5.
