 Great watch. Works with my iPhone 3GSMar 28, 2010
Got this watch in blue from Woot! but coudn't live with the color. Gave it to my wife and bought this black one. It does work with my iPhone 3GS. You get a bubble message on the phone that says the item is not made for the iPhone and an option to go into airplane mode. I choose no, it works, and I still get calls and texts. I have had problems with the connection a couple times. The phone doesn't want to go into iPod mode sometimes, and I get no sound. I haven't figured the exact sequence out yet, but removing the connector and starting the music first and then re-plugging the connector usually works. My wife's watch does the same thing. I believe this is an issue with the iPhone 3GS and not the watch, and I live with it since it's not advertised to work with my phone anyway.
The performance is great. I like being able to leave the phone in a pocket or in the bin on the treadmill and controlling it through the watch. No more sweaty hands on my phone when running, and lets face it; anyone with an iPhone knows that the iPod function is not designed to be controlled while working out or running. This watch makes it a cinch.
I've owned Ironman watches for 20 years or more, and have no issue buying the next one when mine gets lost or broken. They take abuse, and the controls and settings menus are intuitive. This one is super light-weight, and I like the look of it. The iPod buttons are easy to push and are in great position to make a no-look volume or track change. I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

I ended up getting this watch because, first of all, I needed a watch for work. I browsed Amazon for good watches at reasonable prices, an I ended up purchasing this product. It's screen is clear and easy to read, which includes, of course, the time, day (number and name), and the month. When used to control my iPod Touch 1st gen, it performs well. The range is spectacular, but the only problem (probably a software compatibility issue) is that I cannot increase the volume, only lower it with either the decrease or increase volume button. It would be nice if Apple were to fix this, but I can see why they would not bother. I'm still going to give this product five stars though, because of it's durability, convenience, and the fact that the volume control could still work fine on other iPods.

This watch is awesome, one : just the watch is perfect.The ipod control it's very usefull, and for who live in winter country, you dont have tu pull away your glove to control your itouch/ iphone.
The bad : after a little bit less than a year of utilisation, the button for controlling the volume become to be les sensible and doing some bug. But it's a very good buy.
I recommend to all itouch / iphone possesor !

I have used this watch to control my ipod nano every day for the past three months. The watch works flawlessly as advertised. It's extremely comfortable, easy to use, and easy to read for older eyes. I had owned a Timex previous to this one, and was not a Timex fan, that has changed. I use most of the other features on the watch including the alarm which get me out of bed every day. I did purchase a Zagg "invisible shield" to protect the watch face. The shield was not made specifically for the icontrol, but for another ironman watch.

This is a great watch. The ipod features are an added bonus (though it does tend to run down the ipod batteries a little faster).
The band is very durable. It should hold up well for any normal user. What are these band-breaker people doing with theirs?! Using it in place of a carabiner while repelling down a mountain!? -- Give me a break.
