Works with ALL generation Ipod (nanos at least)Apr 03, 2010 Re: Not working on newer generation ipods: I bought this because I have a 2nd generation ipod nano and also have a 4th generation so figured I could at least use it with the older one. It works on both just the same. I also tried it on my boyfriend's 5th generation ipod nano and it worked also, so if that is the only reason you wouldn't want to buy this, then don't let it discourage you. I love it and it makes my runs much more enjoyable.
More than a year and it still works fineMar 15, 2010 - the icontrol spends to much battery from the ipod, but not from the watch
- the watch battery is still working
- i buyed last year and it's still working, even under water

Good to GoDec 20, 2009 Great so far
It comes with the watch and the receiver that plugs into the iPod. I used this with both my 2004 iPod mini, and my 2009 iPod Touch.
Both work.
Things you need to know: When you first press any of the buttons on the watch you'll think you broke it. They click IN, then
never pop out again. All the buttons do this the first time you press on them. After that, you don't feel any click when you press.
The reaction time for the iPod is about 0.5 seconds.
The buttons are small, but you can still work them with your gloves ON.
Once you plug in the receiver for this watch, you can only control volume from the watch.
With the receiver plugged in, you will loose volume control on the iPod itself, and can only hear sound with with headphones plugged in. If you unplug the headphones, the sound will not play through the iPod internal speakers.
You can still move through your play lists, and play/Pause (on the actual iPod).
The iPod will light up it's display every time you use the remote.
The controls you get are: Play/Pause, Next song, Last Song, UP/Down Volume (on the watch).
You will need to select your play list before you throw your iPod in your backpack, and zip it up.
I've had it for over a week, and no issues yet.
It's a much cheaper and better option to the Apple TU016ZM/A Nike + iPod WatchRemote, which is $69 + $49 MORE for the Apple MA365LL/D Nike+ iPod Sport Kit that plugs into you iPod.
I got this for $36, but I see it other places for $80.

Love Love Love It!!Jun 07, 2009 It was such a hassle to try to keep time on my iPod while I jogged, so I purchased the Timex Ironman with iPod connection so that I could have my iPod on my arm (rather than in my hand) and control my time and iPod all from the watch. The first time I used it I loved it and now I refuse to run without it!

Love this watchFeb 06, 2009 This watch has been a great addition to my workout gear. It is so much easier to change songs or volume on my wrist rather falling off the treadmill while straining to do this with the iPod strapped to my arm. Highly recommended, easy to use!
