Love timex, but not this pieceFeb 27, 2010 First impression is wow, but after it sits on your hand for a while you understand that it is uncomfortable because of huge size. I don't find any of its features useful: I don't use compass, not sure why do I need to know about tides, and thermometer is just crazy (I can tell temperature more precisely myself :).
Overall, this watch is OK, but some might find it uncomfortable and not very useful.
Already needs repairJan 28, 2010 This watch promised many different things, all of which, I am sure it can do but the instructions could use a lot of work. I have had the watch less than 30 days and the main setting pin has already fallen out. Since it fell out, the watch stops on its own at will. I find the watch gives up much by way of easy to read marks and settings while trying to do its many functions. I will be sending this back for repair and am hoping it comes back ready to do all it says it can do. I love the expedition series, but am not so sure I would buy this particular model again....I will know more after the repair.
my watch broke down very fastJan 09, 2010 despite a watch which seemed robust, the programming button came off and now could not even change the time, besides the compass lose calibration very easily, was to constantly calibrate
Bought 6 months ago, has shortcomingsDec 28, 2009 The watch works fine (in terms of telling time), but I had some gripes.
I didn't like the fact that after only 6 months of use, my light no longer works. By light, I mean the light that you press when it's dark and want to see the time. It doesn't come w/ some sort of flashlight or anything. All the other features, compass, temperature, tide, have been pretty useless to me and when I needed to use them, couldn't work on demand. The compass was totally off calibration, the temperature reading isn't accurate when worn, and I don't spend too much time on boats so I can't really comment on the tide feature.
If you want a sportwatch and are willing to spend some time calibrating before a hunt, fishing trip, or whatever, this watch is decent. If you think this is a set-it-once-and-forget-it kind of watch, don't bother.
My opinion, look elsewhere, I was originally very happy w/ my purchase, but after I've had sometime w/ it, I'd probably would have gotten something else.

Questionable QualityDec 03, 2009 Compass stopped working after 20 days of owning the watch. Hopefully the replacement will function more reliably.
